The Ghetto

Known locally as the Jewish Ghetto because Jewish residents lived nearby during the Middle Ages, this building was never actually their home. In fact, it has always been a military barracks, positioned on the Bastion Santa Croce on the edge of the city walls in the Castello neighbourhood.  It can be reached through the narrow streets of the historic centre, the low building appears simple and discreet from the outside, and its perfectly renovated rooms are host to art shows, conferences and meetings. A surprise awaits in the large central courtyard, where a breath-taking view of the city fills the horizon as far as the eye can see. A unique location to celebrate your wedding day, perhaps on a spring evening when the sky offers one of the most beautiful sunsets you can admire in the city.

The ceremony

The ceremony may take place on the first Saturday of every month, from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., or from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Reservations must be made online (link) according to the dates and times available in the calendar. Any cancellation must be made at least 30 days prior to the scheduled ceremony.

The couple may decorate the chosen location with additional decor of their choice and at their own expense, with permission from the Local authorities.
