Super fun little crochet kit with multiple projects at a reasonable price. The materials that come with this kit are good and you do get everything you need in the kit to create the little animals. If you use the videos, use them without sound as they do a pretty good job of illustrating slowly what to do. However the track sounds like an AI translation, so there may be mistakes. I didn’t watch all of the videos, so take that how you will. I think the graphic illustrations are pretty good, but some of them might be a bit confusing to a complete novice. The videos show you only one way to hold your yarn and hook, which might not be comfortable for all, so I recommend watching YouTube crocheters to understand the different ways and do what is most comfortable for you. The ergo hooks that this kit comes with (in my opinion) are better for people who hold the hook like you would a steak knife. If you hold your hook more like a pencil, you might want to use a more traditional aluminum hook of the same MM size that comes with the kit.The patterns are written in US terms but uses metric measurement when given. Not a big deal, just make sure you pay attention. Very few measurements are given in the patterns. I am a veteran crocheter, but new to amigurumi. I would say that I am exactly who this kit is for and here’s why. The instructions are not wonderfully written in my opinion, but they are usable with the pictures. The illustrations are pretty good. I think you have to have some understanding of crochet in advance of using this kit and you have to rely on the pictures to help you out. Don’t rely on this kit to help you learn to crochet. Learn from a reliable YouTube channel or someone who is willing to teach you. Once you understand single crochet (US term), can work it flat and in the round using magic ring method, understand increasing and decreasing, understand how to read a pattern and can decipher instructions that are not perfect, and feel more comfortable with how you prefer to hold your hook and yarn, then you might be ready for this kit. I don’t think the instruction alone in this kit is enough to teach someone who has never crocheted before. However, if you have been crocheting for several months and have completed other projects, then you might be good to go. I have been crocheting for a couple of decades now, and I still had to study the instructions for quite a while before knowing what they wanted me to do. If it were not for the pictures, I’m not sure I would be able to make these even remotely look like the finished product. Judge me how you will (lol!). I do plan to thoroughly enjoy this kit and make the fun little animals, although I’m not sure what I will do with them when they are done.
